PLAYER SPONSORSHIP
Ahkeel ‘Smally’ Boyd attracts Canadian Sponsorship

Corporate Canada has stepped forward with an offer to sponsor the Caledonia Clippers guard for the remainder of the EIG Elite Basketball League season.
Reflecting on the sponsorship, Boyd said: “It shows that the work I’m putting in is being noticed. Coming from the Caribbean, where we don’t always get much exposure, it means a lot to know that people around the world are watching. That motivates me to keep pushing and never stop striving to be great.”
This is a major development for Boyd and an example of the opportunities we want this league to create for our players.
His performances have given someone thousands of miles away a reason to invest in his journey. We want more players to have stories like this.
Behind the points, the highlights and the applause are hours of preparation and a personal commitment to keep showing up. When someone backs a player, they help support the work that makes those performances possible.
To corporate Trinidad and Tobago: who will you back?
Across the EBL, there are players giving fans a reason to fill the stands, follow their teams and fall in love with local basketball. There is an opportunity for your business to become part of their journey, associate your brand with their ambition and help them go further.
We welcome this interest from Canada and the example it sets. Let’s build on it here at home.
